Sadã-e-Dard, Delhi 21st October, 2016

An evening recreating the aura of private soulful ghazals and some memorable film songs of Mukesh, sung to live music. The focus was on ghazals. Mukesh had sung about 40 ghazals, many of which are not in public domain, penned by such greats as Mirza Ghalib, Jigar Moradabadi, Jaan Nisar Akhtar, Bahadur Shah Zafar and Meer Dard. Outstanding Mukesh singers from all over the country were identified to render the ghazals and songs.

A website www.OnlyMukesh.org created by Prithvi Haldea was also launched during the evening by Ritu Venkatesh and Preeti Mathur (Nieces of Mukeshji).
