The amazing renditions of the songs by each singer. Gaurav Jain was such a welcome surprise. 5. The beautiful and artistic stage set – the huge prints of the legendary singers on one side of the wall and, of the lyricists on the other side of the stage wall.; the colors of the sofa cushions so beautiful and so were the beautiful table arrangements. In fact, I really miss this feature of appreciation of the lyricist at the very popular TV reality show, Indian Idol on Sony. Thank you for highlighting the contribution of the lyricists in Hindi Cinema. I must mention we were given good seats in the auditorium but, due to health preferences, we choose to sit at the back6. Last, but not the least, thank you for taking us back in time. I have taught Naushad Saheb's granddaughter, Nagma, at SVT College of Home Science, Juhu, Bombay. I do not know if she was Mr. Raju Naushad's daughter. Nagma would share Naushad Saheb's anecdotes with me in the class. When you put up Kishwar Jaipuri's picture on the screen, I was so nostalgic. Dear sir, while your shows are always amazing, this one was special. A different script, a different flavour but melodies remained superb as ever. Sarvesh, Suprriya and Anand are masters of their art. The young performers too were good. Being a poet myself, I truly appreciate the underlying concept of honouring the magicians of words. I distinctly remember what Sahir used to say it with pride that his words even if sung by not so famous singers of that time and the music directors also being relatively lesser known, those songs would still be immortal. Dear Shri Prithvi Haldea Ji, Ibaadat Ka Safar was so well conceptualised and perfectly executed. We fall short of proper words to describe the quality and the standard of the presentation, as it was exceptionally high. Still, I would like to mention a few points. Selection of songs and the way they were introduced. The research work was carried out and so seamlessly connected (though I am sure it required significant prior effort). All the singers performed at their best. Obaid Azmi's shaayari always enhances the program's quality, and it did so again this time. You and Nandita Ji did exceedingly well, which reflects your love and knowledge of poetry and your commitment to presenting the most complex concepts in the easiest possible way. Alas, we do not have such wonderful educators in our educational institutions who not only teach but also entertain.
